About Brave Truth

Brave Truth was born from a simple but uncomfortable realisation: Much of modern leadership asks people to perform, cope, and adapt - without ever telling the truth about how hard that really is. We talk about confidence, resilience, and high performance, but we rarely talk about identity, doubt, emotional labour, or the quiet weight leaders carry. Especially women. Brave Truth exists to change that conversation.

What we mean by Brave Truth

Brave Truth is not about being loud, confrontational, or fearless.

It’s about being honest with yourself, with others, and with the systems you’re operating inside.

It’s about:

  • naming what’s really going on

  • having the courage to look at patterns, not just symptoms

  • and doing that with empathy, warmth, and humanity

We believe the most effective leadership is not performative, it’s lived.

And lived leadership starts with truth.

The kind of leadership we stand for

At Brave Truth, we work with leaders and organisations who want more than surface-level change.

We stand for leadership that is:

  • Human, not hierarchical

  • Courageous, not performative

  • Grounded, not reactive

  • Compassionate, not soft

  • Honest, even when it’s uncomfortable

We create spaces that are psychologically safe and stretching, where people can be real, reflect deeply, and move into action that lasts.

Where This Comes From

Brave Truth isn’t theoretical.

It’s shaped by years inside organisations.

By coaching rooms filled with doubt, brilliance, exhaustion, and courage.

By watching talented women question themselves while carrying extraordinary responsibility, often while being expected to stay steady, composed, and capable for everyone else.

By leading, parenting, growing, failing, learning, and doing it all at once.

It comes from lived experience, not just expertise.

That’s why, in this work, we don’t separate leadership from life.

Because real people don’t live in neat compartments.

How Brave Truth Shows Up

Brave Truth is expressed through:

  • 1:1 coaching with women leaders

  • leadership programmes, culture transformation and organisational change consultancy

  • team effectiveness and Insights Discovery facilitation

  • speaking and facilitated conversations

  • and Real Community

Different formats.

Same foundation.

Everywhere Brave Truth shows up, the intention is the same:

To help people reconnect with themselves, and lead from there.

What Makes This Different

We won’t give you a mask.

We won’t offer quick fixes.

We won’t ask you to be someone you’re not.

What we will do is:

  • tell the truth kindly

  • ask the questions that matter

  • create space for real reflection

  • and support you to turn insight into action

Because leadership that lasts is built from the inside out.

A note from Nicky

Brave Truth is personal.

It’s shaped by my own leadership journey, my work with hundreds of leaders, and my life outside of work too, as a mother, a woman, and a human navigating responsibility, ambition, and care.

I created Brave Truth because I believe leadership can be different.
More honest.
More humane.
More sustainable.

And because I know, deeply, that when people are supported to lead from who they really are, everything changes.

If you're considering working together

You don’t need to be “ready”.
You don’t need to have the answers.
You don’t need to perform.

You do need a willingness to be honest, and to work with someone who will meet you with warmth, rigour, and respect.

If that’s what you’re looking for, I’d love to talk.
